The little things that make you happy. It might be a rainy day. Or a sunny day. Or a snow day. It might be seeing muffins rise in the oven, or watching a family ride their bikes together. But whatever it is, when something happens, it immediately makes your day better!
And so, today, I'm not going to write a post about Barbies or Burgers. I'm going to write about what makes me happy. Feel free to comment what makes you happy if you want to! :)
So, without further ado...
Things that make me happy!
1. Sharing a smile with strangers. So I can't say that I am naturally a very smiley person. But over the past few years I've trained myself (no, I'm not kidding!). And why is this? Well, just think about it. When a stranger smiles at you for no other reason than just smiling, doesn't it just make your day?! My best example of this is when I go running. I smile at EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON that I run past. And why? Because it puts a smile on their face, and when they smile back, it encourages me! It just makes you want to run further and faster because you and the other runners have shared a smile. When people don't smile back, I don't take it to heart, because you don't know what they're thinking or feeling or what's going on in their life.

2. Sunshine. Every morning, the first thing I do when I wake up is look out the window! It's so amazing what seeing a brigh
t, sunny day can make you feel. And if the sky is cloudless, I know that my day is going to be absolutely perfect! I haven't had a bad day happen when there are no clouds in a clear blue sky!
3. Catching snowflakes on my tongue. Whenever I go somewhere cold overseas (because it definitely does not snow in my part of Australia), I always catch snowflakes on my tongue. I've done it ever since I was little, and it makes me feel like a kid again. Plus it's lots of fun!

4. The sand between my toes. Let's face it: walking on the beach is nothing if you have your shoes on. But take your shoes off, and it's a whole new experience! Probably even better than swimming at the beach!
5. Watching the sunrise/sunset. I have to admit, I'm not an early bird, so I've probably seen quite a few more sunsets in my life so far, but either way, the experience is the perfect end to a day.
There are soooooo many things that make me happy, and I've probably forgotten millions in just stating my top 5. But make sure you savour the things that give you that little spark of joy, because they're the things to live for, and they are the things that make each day special!
